It contains many ingredients that directly benefit the skin and act in ways to further protect it and keep it healthy. Naturally Mediterranean’s Rose Petal Face Mask for Dry Skin comes in a dry mix in an attractive jar. When you open the jar to mix your first face mask, you’ll be able to see the dried rose petals that give the mask its lovely appearance and texture.
Many beauty experts agree that dry mix face masks are preferable, as they stay fresh and usable for much longer, and there is not the potential for rapid bacterial growth, which can compromise skin health.
Naturally Mediterranean’s Rose Petal Mud Mask for Dry Skin comes in a dry mix in an attractive jar. When you open the jar to mix your first mud mask, you’ll be able to see the dried rose petals that give the mask its lovely appearance and texture. As well as the rose petals and clay which form the basis of the mask, there are a number of premium Mediterranean ingredients. These ingredients help contribute to the moisturising and smoothing effects of the mask. The product is also rich in Vitamins B and C to help mop up those free radicals that can do so much damage to the skin.
Why Choose A Powder Clay Mask Over A Wet Mud Mask
Old fashioned mud face masks can cause almost as many problems as they solve. Coming in a ready-to-use wet mix, the clay component in the product starts to dry out immediately after opening. In addition, you should really test the opened mask for bacterial growth, but who wants to go to all that trouble? On the other hand, do you really want to slap bacteria on your skin along with the mud mask?
Some mud masks are coloured green, but here at Naturally Mediterranean, we would advise against using such products. Not only can artificially coloured face masks stain the skin, the additives used to produce the colour tend to make the masks feel rough when applied to the face and neck.
Certain harmful bacteria are commonly known to grow on wet mud masks
Our mask is dry for a reason; the ingredients are dispersed evenly in the jar. When you mix it with water it releases the natural oils from the petals and the vitamins into the mask so that the oil disperses evenly. When you use a wet mask, some of the best ingredients or vitamins may have sunk to the bottom of the jar so you can’t guarantee that your skin receives the same nutrition every time.

Rose Petals create one of the most luxurious oils in the world and very expensive, it’s used in high end perfumes for its lovely smell and added to some luxury products because of its wonderful benefits to the skin. In one of the flower’s earliest uses ancient Greeks and Romans used rose petals to perfume their baths and highly valued their benefits.

Freeze-dried crystalline aloe vera powder:
This is produced entirely from the gel of the aloe vera plant – making it 100% natural and organic. The anti-inflammatory properties of pure aloe vera work within our mud mask to reduce the pain and inflammation of sunburn and skin lesions, and promote rapid healing. Aloe vera can also visibly reduce scarring resulting from burns, skin ulcers and other complexion issues.
Additionally, aloe vera stimulates activity in the fibroblasts – those cells which must be active in order to boost the production of collagen and connective tissue. Regular use promotes new skin growth and the repair and renewal of cells, thus invigorating and rejuvenating the skin for a healthy, glowing, more youthful appearance.
Aloe vera is an excellent emollient, and regular use produces a soothing, calming effect on the skin. As an added bonus, it’s antibacterial and antiseptic, so it can act against the various bacteria and fungi that may settle on your skin from the environment.
This natural skin prebiotic is derived partially from inulin – an ingredient extracted from chicory roots – and partially from the natural sugars resulting from enzyme activity. Cosmetic Prebiotic helps boost the ‘good’ bacteria in the skin. In the presence of a prebiotic the friendly bacteria can recover and grow faster than the harmful bacteria.
What is the Prebiotic Effect, and why is it important to skin care?
Realistically, the environmental and other issues that disturb the delicate balance of the skin’s protective barrier are always present. Ideally, one should be able to prevent disturbance to this barrier, but that’s not always possible or practical – notably when it comes to babies, the elderly, and people with sensitive skin.
However, it is possible to arm the friendly bacteria with the crucial weapons to fight against radical changes to the skin’s natural balance and the resulting damage this can cause. Cosmetic Prebiotic is a vital ingredient which strengthens the skin’s friendly bacteria, allowing them to grow and outnumber the harmful bacteria. This means that even when the skin’s natural balance is disrupted, Cosmetic Prebiotic fights on the side of the friendly bacteria to help create a protective barrier against the harmful effects of environmental damage, temperature extremes and the natural skin changes that occur as a result of aging.
These friendly organisms help to create a barrier against damage caused by pollution, temperature changes, excess sun or cold or conditions caused by different stages of life.
